Neighbourhood Action Panel
Neighbourhood Action Panels (NAPs) are regular meetings of people from the community to discuss local issues of concern that relate to policing and agree local priorities to discuss with the police. Local councillors (parish, city and county) and a Neighbourhood Watch representative attend the meetings, along with local residents who have concerns. Police representatives no longer attend meetings regularly, but contact is maintained on matters of concern and wider local community meetings are held at intervals.
For details of forthcoming local community meetings, see the Chelmsford and Maldon community policing page of the Essex Police website.
